Working with senior leadership and boards in order to assist in assessing and recruiting the leadership necessary to get the organization to the next level, whether it is a corporation or a non-profit.

I have always had a fascination regarding leadership and the attributes of individuals who have excelled in their careers.  To assist our clients with leadership transition or succession planning and to help identify the next great leader for the future is my passion.

Mark Klingsheim focuses on senior-level executive search assignments nationally for global Fortune 500 companies as well as private corporations and Private Equity/Venture Capital backed emerging growth companies. He has successfully conducted searches for executive/management positions nationwide. Mark has also conducted senior-level searches for nonprofit organizations nationally.

Prior to SIMA Partners, Mark was a Managing Partner for Northpoint Partners a boutique retained search firm focused on technology-related companies. Northpoint Partners merged with SIMA Partners in May 2014. Previously Mark has been a Managing Director for a leading global executive search firm that provided executive search consulting for clients nationally. He was also a Managing Consultant for a division of Korn/Ferry International, a global search firm. In this capacity, he worked with companies to identify and recruit executive talent in North America and was responsible for managing search consultants throughout the United States. His experience also includes leadership for the Advanced Technology Practice.

Mark’s experience has included conducting over 200 executive-level searches for leading technology, med-tech, biotech, communications, consumer, healthcare, financial services as well as educational and nonprofit organizations.

 

Giving Back

• Mark has a podcast called Motivated to Lead www.motivatedtolead.com, where he interviews leaders in business and the nonprofit world. It is designed to help you become a better leader, whether you are a new leader or a seasoned executive. 

• He has been involved in teaching and working with youth in his local church.

• Enjoys public speaking on the topics of leadership and career development.

Fun/Hobbies

• Spending time with family.

• Kayaking, snowshoeing, waterskiing, and cycling. Anything to get outside during any weather condition in Minnesota.

Mark and his wife Laura live in the Twin Cities and have three married daughters and nine grandchildren.
